Mr. McCullough has been a full time professional artist for over 25 years.  His works range from watercolors to acrylics on canvas.  He has specialized in recreating old petroglyphs from the cliff walls of the southwestern areas.

It is the creative process and unpredictability of painting each piece of art that continues to challenge him, “I respect the research that is required to produce artwork from historical Native American regions and what such images represent”.

Stephen is a voting member of the Choctaw Indian Nation centered in Oklahoma, having been registered on the Choctaw rolls at birth through the Bureau of Indian Affairs.  He is represented by various galleries throughout the southwest and is a charter member of the Southwest Whiskey Painters Society.
