OPENING BRUNCH!
Besides sharing summer experiences, we will learn how to start a painting using the wet into wet approach. Bring watercolor paper, a roll of VIVA paper towels, a wide 1” to 2” brush and a non-absorbent mounting board such as foam core. This approach allows for more time to paint. It is a great start before adding strokes of paint in our dry climate.
Look up Dan Mondlock , a Minnesota painter that uses this approach. He has some great videos on You Tube.
We will be meeting outside on Nov. 14th and 21st for Plein Air approaches. The art room will be closed to our group so that artists can prepare for the sales on the 14th and 21st.
Meet on the patio and we will proceed to different locations.
ABOUT WATERWORKS
If you love acrylics or watercolor, join us on Friday mornings from 8:30 to 12:30 in the art room. We are seeking new members to learn the basics and explore the possibilities. Each week we will devote the first hour to materials and skill techniques. A paint along will follow with an emphasis on the featured technique.
Beginners are encouraged to join us as we all learn together. Our motto is to let the water do the work. Sometimes we help the water along with sponges, saran wrap, gesso, salt or tape.
