This March we will be showing "LOVING VINCENT". This remarkable film earned an Academy Award nomination and went on to win top honors at the European Film Awards and the Annie Awards—the highest recognition in animation. These distinctions signal just how exceptional this work truly is.
The film offers a compelling interpretation of Vincent van Gogh’s final days, rendered in a magnificently artful way. Created by more than 100 artists and brought to life through over 65,000 hand-painted oil frames, this film is unlike anything you’ve likely seen before.
Set against the unsettled atmosphere of its era, the film draws us into an immersive journey through memory, mystery, and art. This fusion-style production lives somewhere between animation and fine art, creating an experience that is both visually poetic and emotionally resonant.
What Provided: Everything needed for a unique evening of social engagement with fellow art & food lovers. We supply a healthful homemade soup followed by an insightful movie and an opportunity for a short discussion and reflection at the end of the film.
If there are any food allergies, or concerns, please let us know, they can usually be accommodated.
Because these dates fall on a Sunday anyone who forgets their FOB can access the event from the side Art Room Patio Door.
Cost: $0. This is a FREE event.
We do however hope you can appreciate that in order for organizers to be prepared for this event, we do request your R.S.V.P. (3) days prior.
