Host: Shelly Hackett
workshop media is oil on canvas board
We develop a drawing of our favorite wildlife, working with a photo of the full body or head portrait. Photos will be provided or you can bring your own. After the drawing is on the canvas, we will begin painting a 9 x 12” canvas board. Learn how to block the background and subject in the underpainting then concentrate on the facial characteristics of the critter. The purpose is to make the image our own interpretation of the animal.
Supplies to Bring: An old dish rag, a smock or apron, and your favorite brushes if you have some.
Supplies Provided by Host: 9”x 12” canvas board, brushes, oil paint, thinner and containers for thinner.
