Using leather dyes and acrylic paint, create a base for your weaving.  A turquoise stone of your choice will be used on front and back of your basket.  A beautiful weaving with beads will finish this lovely basket and it will sit on a geo base.

Supplies to Bring: All supplies will be included. Bring your lunch.

About the Host: Inspired by the great Southwest, Margaret spends hours dreaming up creations on gourd canvases that only nature can compete with. Using pyrography, carving, dyes, paints, a cornucopia of beads, precious stones, and feathers, she turns gourds into beautiful works of art. Known for her gourd masks, Margaret also creates vessels and kachinas to round out her portfolio. She participates in two to three shows a year while still finding time to set up workshops for aspiring gourd artists. A member of The Verdes Art League, Margaret sells her art from her home studio and at the On The Edge Gallery in Scottsdale.
