Writing The Icon

Experience this historic and unique process of painting religious imagery of the Mother & Child on wood panels. Students will paint with tempera pigment mixed with egg solution on cloth & alabaster covered wood panels. Gold leaf will be applied where applicable. All tools, materials and panels will be provided with exception of excessive gold leaf. Extra gold leaf will be available for purchase if needed.

Supplies to Bring: Nothing.

Supplies Provided by Host: Cloth/alabaster covered wood panels, tempera pigment, egg solution, carving tools, brushes, small amounts of gold leaf. Madonna and Child Icon images.

How to Register: Contact Jennie Becker to register.

Cost : $100 for 1/2 day or $150 for full day.
