discover pastels in the powder form and pure pigment in a stick form

We will explore the different types of pastels and brands, look at pastel papers/surfaces,
apply pastel along with mark making/blending. We will discuss sketching an image onto paper, hard and soft edges, composition, blending pastels to create color, etc.

Additional dates are March 24th, March 31st, and April 7th. Students can take one or all classes.

Supplies to Bring: Apron and paper towels. If you have any pastels bring them along. A 25.00 set of 72 pastels will be available to purchase at class.

Supplies Provided by Host: All other supplies will be supplied by the teacher.

Cost of Workshop: $45 for each session (paid before first class).

About the Hosts: I have been interested and creating art most of my life. It has been a journey of starts and stops. I have explored watercolor, acrylic, oils and pastels. Pastels have been my go to medium the
past ten years. I show at 3 galleries in CO and participate in art shows here in the AZ. 
My background is in teaching with a minor in art from Northern IL University. The study of art has been a life long pursuit.
