iPhone Photography Basics Wednesdays - Class 1 of 2

  • Rio Verde Community Center Art Room 18816 East 4 Peaks Boulevard Rio Verde, AZ, 85263 United States (map)

Hosts: Amanda Hines and Hans Schols

Transforming your snapshots to compelling photos and storytelling

This didactic/interactive workshop will cover basic concepts of the unique iPhone camera. We will cover the iPhone interface, settings (and where to find them), essential shooting modes, editing and sharing as well as composition fundamentals and lighting/special features. Students will use their own iPhone. The goal is to provide interactive networking with 1:1 mentorship and sharing your artistry. There will be practical “assignments” between the 2-session workshop dates. To achieve the best experience we can, class is limited to 16 participants. We will also introduce the joy of night photography with “tricks” and examples. The next session is March 4th 6:00 - 8:00 PM.

Supplies to Bring: Each student must bring their own iPhone (13 or newer) and tripod (if you have one). We will have loaner tripods for those who may need it.

Supplies Provided by Host: Loaner tripods, lecture notes/handouts.

Cost of Workshop: $50 for both sessions

Payment Instructions: Payment required before class with cash, check, Venmo or credit card. Contact Amanda Hines.

Location: Rio Verde Art Room
